Applying to the Pakistan Army

Here's your complete guide to joining the Pakistan Army as a commissioned officer through 144 PMA long course. We wish you best of luck with your application there!
Your age on 1st November 2019 should be in accordance with the following table:
17-22 yearsIntermediate
17-23 yearsGraduates (2 years)(Serving PN/PAF)
17-24 yearsGraduates (4 years)
17-25 yearsServing Army Soldiers
In terms of your education, here are the guidelines that you must comply with:
  • Minimum 60% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent
  • Candidates who score 60% marks or above in BA/BSc/BBA with 50% marks in FA/FSc are eligible
  • Serving Army Soldiers with 50% marks in FA/FSc
  • Candidates who have passed FSc Part-1 Examination with minimum 60% marks and appeared / are appearing in FSc Part-2 / Final Exams can also apply on baiss of "Hope Certificates" duly issues by the Head of the institution.
You must be an unmarried male with Pakistani nationality

Documents Required

  • All original educational certificates and mark sheets
  • Your own CNIC / Form B and CNIC of your father/guardian
  • 4 x Passport photographs duly attested
  • Original and 3 x photocopies of ISSB NOT RECOMMENDED letter for "Repeater Candidate"
  • One set photocopy of the above mentioned documents


  • Online Registration at from 8th April to 10th May, 2019
  • Preliminary Test: 13th May to 7th July, 2019

  • English, Maths, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, General Knowledge

  • Physical Tests
  • Running: 1.6 Km in 8 minutes
  • Sit Ups: 20 in 2 minutes
  • Push ups: 15 in 2 minutes
  • Chin ups: 3 in 2 minutes
  • Ditch Crossing: 7'4' x 7'4' Depth 4' deep

  • Medical
  • Height- 5ft 4in (162.5cms)
  • Weight- As per Body Mass index
*The TCC candidates who apply for PMA L/C will also be considered as Repeater Candidates
